  1. How can I order Nala Makeda items?

You can place your order on our secure website or email afronalamakeda@gmail.com to place an order over e-mail. We will send you an invoice which you can pay for via PayPal. Office hours are 10:00 A.M – 5:00 P.M.

  1. How long does it take to ship out my order and how long does delivery take?

Due to COVID-19, orders will be processed and shipped out within 1-2 business days in Panama. Outside from Panama will be 1-4 business day.

We typically ship out all orders within 1-3 business days unless it's a pre-order or personalized piece.

Delivery date depends on your location. It can take 1-4 business days within the Republic of Panama and 1-2 weeks outside from Panama.

  1. How quickly do you respond to emails? Do you have weekend hours?

We generally respond within 24 hrs during our regular office hours which are Monday-Saturday, 10am-8pm. 

Customer Service is currently not available on Sundays.

  1. What payment method(s) do you accept?

For our local customers we offers a variety of payment options. We accept Yappy, Nequi, Visa, MasterCard. We also take PayPal and store credit in the form of e-gift cards.

For our international customers we offers Visa and MasterCard. We also take PayPal.

  1. I am an international customer and I am not sure how much an item costs in my local currency or how much I'll be charged for a purchase?

We are proud to service our customers from all over the world! All pricing on our site is in our local currency, American Dollars (USD). If you'd like to find out how much an item is in your local currency, please click on the flag button on the top right corner of any page and select the flag corresponding to your preferred currency.

The conversion rate you pay at the checkout would depend on your issuing credit card company being used on the transaction.

  1. Do you restock sold out items?

We are always updating our inventory with new styles and occasional may restock sold out items. If you are interested in purchasing an item that's currently unavailable, please contact us at afronalamakeda@gmail.com and we will advise you if an item will be restocked or discontinued. If the item will be restocked we'll provide you with the estimated time.

  1. I received my item and there seems to be a dark mark or stickiness on the fabric, what is this?

We apologize in the event that you may receive an item with an adhesive patch. Our fabrics come with manufacturer's stamps, which show their authenticity, and we work hard to remove them before cutting and sewing the piece. However, they occasionally cannot be completely removed without washing, so you may see the label mark on your item. They are not permanent and will come off.

  1. How do I care for my pieces?

Jewelry is delicate and should be stored in its respective packaging when not in use. Do not wash or submerge in water.

Any stains on the fabric should be removed gently with a damp cloth wet with warm soapy water.

Our clothes should be hand-washed only. Do not bleach. Iron on the wrong side.
